The Safe Stay in Croatia label is the Croatian 'Safe Travel' label of the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC), which is awarded for safe travel worldwide, and which Croatia has been wearing since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We wrote about the possibilities of entering the Republic of Croatia in the last blog, which is available here - link.

The sea borders is also open to private vessles under the same conditions as the land borders.

When crossing the border of the Republic of Croatia, it is necessary to have documentation about your person during your stay confirming the reservation of tourist accommodation or travel agency voucher or confirmation of reservation / ownership of private or property, invitation to legal entities or invitation to a business meeting. As far as border crossings are concerned, the situation has remained unchanged due to the fact that the number of people infected with the Covid 19 virus remains at satisfactory levels and that the restrictive measures introduced to prevent the spread of the virus are working, as evidenced by the reopening caffees, bars and restaurants, more precisely their terraces, uninterrupted work of service activities such as hairdressing and beauty salons, shopping centers, state institutions, openness of inter-county borders and unhindered travel of citizens through Croatia. As a consequence of the very good epidemiological situation in the Republic of Croatia, it is becoming a desirable destination for safe travel or even relocation for a period of one year or more.

Speaking about tourist needs and destinations, there are also open camps, hotels, historical attractions, National Parks, from the rocky Northern Velebit and Plitvice Lakes to the lowlands and swamps of Kopački rit, which stand out for their beauty and preservation. In addition to enjoying nature, you can visit numerous museums and other sights and explore the rich Croatian cultural and historical heritage, from folk costumes and traditional arts, through fairytale castles to UNESCO protected intangible heritage. It is also planned to hold several music festivals planned in the second part of the year, after the month of May, which speaks of a positive trend in the numbers related to the Corona virus and the optimism of our government. Furthermore, the trend of relocation of digital nomads to the Republic of Croatia is becoming more and more noticeable; a third-country national who is employed or performs work through communication technology for a company or his own company that is not registered in the Republic of Croatia. Thanks to the developed infrastructure, good internet connection, mild climate and various opportunities that this country provides, recently the relocation of digital nomads to these parts is a very common occurrence. In this way, it is possible to live in the Republic of Croatia for up to 12 months.
