The popular online portal forbesglobalproperties.com, which presents the markets of the most luxurious and most beautiful properties in the world to millions of readers, included among the top five elite events in September the Croatia Regatta that took place from September 13 to 20 in the central Adriatic.
This is the only all-inclusive regatta in Europe. Such regattas combine sailing, leisure, gastronomy, and social activities. In other words, unlike other regattas, the competitive side is only one component, which certainly highlights the spirit of competition but also blends with other segments, making this event a unique experience remembered for a lifetime.
Croatia has long been recognized in nautical circles as a rewarding destination and a kind of paradise due to its 8278 kilometers of indented coastline, 1200 islands and reefs, fairy-tale landscapes, and crystal-clear sea.

Another specific feature of this regatta is that all participants sail approximately the same type of sailboat. This year they sailed two types: Salona 46 and Beneteau First 45. The point of this condition is that the outcome depends on teamwork and not on the type of boat, making the regatta even more distinctive.
Thus, Croatia Regatta is not only a competition but pure hedonistic pleasure and a perfect combination between excitement and enjoyment.
This is the second year the regatta has been held after the premiere year proved to be extremely successful. Thanks to the good turnout and great experience this year, the regatta has already been announced for next year, when it is expected to take place in October.
This year’s regatta was held from Saturday, September 13 to Saturday, September 20, blessed with fine weather following the first late-summer rains.
Route and Experiences on the Adriatic

The starting position was Marina Kaštela, ultra-modern and one of the largest marinas in the region. Since everything was included in the regatta so that competitors had as few worries as possible and could absolutely focus on enjoyment, the organized reception and transport of passengers from the airport to the marina was also taken care of by the organizers themselves.
After boarding their Salonas and Beneteaus, the competitors headed towards Vrboska on Hvar, an old fishing village recognizable for its deep and winding bay with charming bridges, which is why it is often called Little Venice.
In Vrboska, the opening ceremony was held, accompanied by a three-course dinner. The official start followed from Palmižana, one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic.
On Hvar, all competitors were greeted with snacks and drinks, and the real competitive part followed with a “race” to Hvar’s Milna, a beautiful place framed by the greenery of Mediterranean vegetation. In Milna, the winner’s ceremony took place.

After that, all competitors came to Split, where they had the opportunity to enjoy a city known for the residence of Roman Emperor Diocletian, its untouched Mediterranean charm, and excellent restaurants.
In addition to excellent marinas, perfect climate, cheerful locals, stunning views of small stone towns, superb gastronomy, fresh fish, and excellent Croatian wines, along with the spirit of competition, enriched the experience of all participants.
The organizer left nothing to chance, so participants could carefree enjoy every day, flawless content, and schedule.
There is an old Latin saying, Navigare necesse est, meaning To sail is a must. Considering the recently concluded regatta, we can add that one must also enjoy good food and good wines, seize every day, because if life is lived only once, it should be lived to the fullest-or in nautical terms, with full sails.
